Adsa, I’ve been talking about tightheads for weeks, so yeah, I’ve given it plenty of thought.

But Allan Ala’alatoa being ruled out a fortnight ago isn’t the reason some injured players were picked for France while others weren’t.

But Allan Ala’alatoa being ruled out a fortnight ago isn’t the reason why a flyhalf with 15 years professional experience has been left out in favour of two guys with six gaps between them.

So is it so unreasonable to ask why what was the plan less than a fortnight ago is no longer the plan now?

No professional coach worth their salt is going to cop working with a successor, knowing the won’t be in the job going forward, Blues.

It wouldn’t have mattered if RA somehow brokered the gold-plated best scenario of all, the minute Jones is installed, Rennie’s time is done.

I don’t blame him knocking that idea straight on the head when he did, the same way I don’t blame Ian Foster not wanting to apply to keep the job NZR weren’t game enough to sack him from..
