AFL News: Hinkley locked in at last, Riewoldt the retiring type, hobbled Hawks star's career in limbo
Still, it gives you a purpose in life.
AFL News: Hinkley locked in at last, Riewoldt the retiring type, hobbled Hawks star's career in limbo
Good effort by Hewett but in the same game, Matt Johnson beat him in every stat:
Kicks – Hewett 20; Johnson 21
Tackles- Hewett 3; Johnson 5
Metres gained- Hewett 67m; Johnson 564m
Disposal efficiency- Hewett 65%; Johnson 66.7%
Goals- Hewett 0; Johnson 1
Marks- Hewett 3; Johnson 9
Inside 50s – Hewett 1; Johnson 7
Johnson regularly performs like this. Overlooked for some strange reason. His size, mobility, class will have him finally on people’s lips but a Rising Star nomination is overdue. I had to campaign for Jye Amiss and now it seems I need to alert folk again.
Singin' Elijah's Song: Eagles diamond the Round 22 Rising Star
Ross Lyon changes the ‘perennial losers’ tag to tenacious and consistent. Focused role-execution will have them squeeze Geelong out and nail down their spot.
Are perennial losers St Kilda set to break supporters' hearts again, or is this team different?
Rediscovered all his mojo since being reunited with Ross Lyon.

Doc knows he got that wrong. It’s place in the thread is a response to you.
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
Doc’s wrong. He forgot he was addressing you. I made no supposition about his quals. You did.
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
It was a silly comment. Appreciate the backtrack there. The other stuff remains silly.
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
You don’t seem to be addressing my comment at all. Strange response.
TOM MORRIS: Who your club is eyeing in this year's Trade Period... and how the Eagles will use their prized pick 1
Pretty shallow argument there, Tom.

I made no comment or have any concern about your quals.
You didn’t address me at all, indeed, I made no assertion regarding you.
I did respond to your celebration of Sandi’s broken rib. How is reference to your qualifications a response to that?
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
It’s you.
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
Even in retirement, I am highly sought after and very well remunerated. If you want to try the Richmond nastiness, you’re going to have to try a different tack.
To actually try to tell a high achiever that his achievements are failures…on a keyboard post…is just staggering. If that’s your need, I’d suggest you just keep on wallowing.

I also have Honours in the Literary field. There you go.
You are waffling a lot.
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
I’ve just told you otherwise. Can you come up with a game, ever, where they beat Sandi?
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
None of that is a complete statement. It’s a collection of words with random punctuation. Do you want to have another go?
Your silliness is detracting from the spirit of the thread, which is to honour Nic. I have.
AFL News: Nic Nat, luckless Swan make retirement call, Dogs savaged for 'ridiculous' last-minute howler
Sandi outplayed Nic every time they played on each other. That’s indisputable. Stats alone show that.

Probably only Wilson and Colyer, maybe Hamling. I’d cut Hughes but JLo likes him. Eric Benning is the only kid not really. Coming on but he is a big boy and a project player.
Footy Fix: Sure, they're fifth... but like it or not, the Blues are officially the best team in it
Although, neither Nic nor Cox could ever beat Sandi.
Notwithstanding, Nic IS one of the GOATs…not, “could have been”.
He played over 200 GOAT-level games.

Everything is about Freo…
That knee planted into Sandi’s rib ended Nic’s career. Sandi played again.

A strange comment about Freo that they, “…can’t afford to stand still.” That’s exactly what they can do.
They want in no areas. Tall forwards have added depth with the return of Taberner. Amiss, Treacy, Jackson and Sturt have produced 90 goals this season. The smalls are as productive as any club in the AFL.
Mids with such terrific youth plus the return of Fyfe, the emergence of Young and the 2 best rucks in the game are left wanting nothing.
Down back they have 3 top talls plus Hamling and 3 very good U20yo developing at Peel. The smalls with Clark, the returning Chapman and Walker plus the solid additions of Wagner and Worner leaves no areas of need.
They are the second youngest list in the AFL and will be younger still with the delistings of Wilson and Colyer. All sunshine down at Freo with a solid #20 draft pick coming up.
TOM MORRIS: Who your club is eyeing in this year's Trade Period... and how the Eagles will use their prized pick 1
No real need for a long term opener…or a long term anything. Warner and the NSW quicks illustrate the problems with ‘long term’. Incumbent can be an anchor.
Pick those in form. Continuing form makes them ‘long term’.
Australia A squad announced: Bancroft, Marnus get chance to press selection claims after snubs
Australia’s results have everything to do with team talent and nothing to do with Pat’s captaincy.
The misuse abuse of Cameron Green’s career is the Cummins legacy in such a short time. Todd Murphy is next in line
Cummins is proving a successful captain - but how is the job affecting his own stats and those of his teammates?
The full tool box. Quite accurate though when he says, “I don’t know the answer.”
